    WLMS — WildLife Management System

WildLife Management System — Intelligent bird-strike prevention and control solution

An intelligent module designed to monitor and mitigate bird strikes and wildlife risks within the aerodrome zone.

It supports data collection, real-time mapping, and trend analysis for bird activity — helping airports optimize wildlife control operations and ensure safe runway usage.

The WLMS supports wildlife observation, risk prevention, effective dispersal of birds, reporting on WildLife team activities and bird-strike occurence across the entire airport area.

    Wildlife type of animals

    WLMS applications include:

    • WLR — WildLife Report for manual reporting of wildlife sightings and dispersal actions.
    • WLR-AI — Automatic Bird Detection System, using advanced detection cameras and AI-based bird recognition for automated alerts and activity logging.
    • BirdStrike Report, fully compliant with ICAO standards.
    • Optionally, WLMS can be equipped with an autonomous audio deterrent system that automatically plays distress calls or predator sounds to safely disperse birds and mammals.

    Gas Cannon Smart System

Advanced, automated wildlife deterrent integrated with WLMS

    • A proprietary PISTAMATIC innovation, the Smart Gas Cannon is an intelligent, remotely controlled deterrent system designed to keep wildlife away from active zones.
It operates autonomously or under WLMS control, with full automation and scheduling.

The SMART option enables full management, monitoring and reporting of device operation from any location.

PISTAMATIC integrates directly with hardware devices such as smart gas cannons and bird deterrent systems.
It allows automated activation, timed schedules, and remote control based on real-time bird activity data and airport geofencing.

    COMPLIANCE AND USE
Fully compliant with ICAO Doc 9981, para 2.1 and EASA Regulation (EU) No 139/2014, ADR.OPS. B.020, FAA AC No: 150/5200-38. Fully compliant with IBSC requirements, known as the 9 standards for Aerod.rome Bird/Wildlife Control.
WildLife Monitoring: It can be used by wildlife inspectors to monitor w e activity, pa.rticuIarly birds, across extensive areas of an airpol and its surrou.ndings.
Data Reporting: The applic.ation can generate repols that display spatial patterns and timing of bird movements, aiding in effective wildlife management and control effols at the aerodrome.
